1937. First Edition. 288 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with navy-blue lettering to spine. A remarkable piece of speculative future feminist dystopian fiction; one of the first significant works to be set in a world where Hitler was victorious. Pages have slight foxing and tanning. Gutter totally cracked and slack at p16 with netting fully exposed. Pencil price and Foyle's bookshop sticker to front pastedown. Slight rub marks to FEP and several pages within. Text block edges very foxed. Head of spine a little loose. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Slight, faint liquid stains, mild scratches, and several tiny ink spots to boards. Spine is a little sunned. Boards are subtly bowed. Bottom edge of spine notably bumped and creased.
