Written by Otto Sverdrup, a Norwegian sailor and Arctic explorer. Edited with additions from T. C. Fairley. Previously held in the library of Eric Kenneth Prentice "Kenn" Back, an English meteorologist with the British Antarctic Survey and descendant of explorer George Back. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Near Fine.
