Small 4to. Pp. 200. Frontis. plate VI. Illustrated with full-page engravings. Blue textured cloth, black spine tape, no titles. Covers stained, corners bumped, hinges parting, edges rubbed, closed tear to rear covering, bookplate on front endpaper. Head of Preface leaf cut away but text block intact, ink marks at foot of page, leaves variably foxed, age-toned and damp stained, occasional light underlining in pencil. Translated and adapted from standard works cited in the preface, followup to his translation of Maygrier's Midwifery Illustrated. Albeit an unsophisticated copy with several condition issues, Doane's work is rare in any condition. Seller Inventory # 6349
