Featuring articles including Florence E. Burnley's 'Some Japanese Religious Festivals', 'Dwellers in the Night', discussing The School for the Indigent Blind, and Geo A. Best's illustrated short story 'Father Neptune and Santa Claus'.Volume III may be of special interests, including contemporary reactions to the death of Queen Victoria in January 1901.With the school prize bookplate of George Lane Congregational Sunday School to the front free endpaper of volume IX, awarding the volume to Elsie Mason, December 1908. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth bindings, with gilt detailing. Bumping to spine heads and tails. Tide marks to tails to tail of front and rear boards. Bookplate to front free endpaper of vol IX. Starting to front and rear hinges of vol III, with boards holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright. Very Good.
