Complete run in three issues. With illustrations from photographs, drawings and comix including a cameo appearance of Mr. Natural by Robert Crumb. Tabloid newspaper format. Very Good with some toning to leaves, minor creasing, chips and tears to edges; a few marginal notes and doodles on back wrap of first volume; second volume outer wraps have slight soiling. Rare as a set. A complete, albeit short, run of an underground periodical from the White Panther Party in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a far-left anti-racist political party whose agenda including marijuana legalization and the freeing of political prisoners, and who took many of their cues from the Black Panther Party. In the immortal words of party founder and manager of the proto-punk band MC5, John Sinclair, "Our program of rock and roll, dope and fucking in the streets is a program of total freedom for everyone.".
