First Edition mass-market pulp edition of the novel. 212 pages, Cover art by Ken Riley captures the three pillars of Hemingway's writing: booze, women, and woe. Protagonist Jake Barnes sits between an open bottle and a framed photograph of a smoky-eyed brunette, his hand drawn into a fist. Text above the title reads: "Could he live without the power to love?" The quintessential novel of the Lost Generation, The Sun Also Rises is one of Ernest Hemingway's masterpieces and a classic example of his spare but powerful writing style. A poignant look at the disillusionment and angst of the post-World War I generation. Pulp edition sustains stress creases near spine panel from when it was read, along with some minor chipping to wrappers. Gutter is a bit cracking but still holding. and some discoloration on back cover. Otherwise, pulp art cover is bright and colorful; overall good+ condition.
