Condition: Fair. 1897. No Edition Remarks. 380 pages. No dust jacket. Decorated green cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Illustrated by Peter Newell et al. Bookseller's stamp to title page, half title page and rear endpapers. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier in places. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Binding is weakened. Water staining to some pages. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Gilt lettering is darkened.
