Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. large 8vo , i-vii, 801 pp , coloured frontispiece portrait of Princess Alice , extensively illustrated throughout text with black and white photographs and diagrams . A near fine copy , however due to a production fault pages 739-754 have not been bound in as pages 723-738 have been duplicated. The missing pages have been supplied from another copy and a letter of explanation from Brigadier B G E Courtis to Major G L Newberry - Cobbett on Institution of the Royal Corps of Transport headed paper was sent with the missing pages, these have been put into a pocket at the back of the book.Newberry-Cobbett's uncashed cheque is attached to the rear paste down . Major Guy Newberry- Cobbett served with the RASC in Korea and is mentioned on page 222,he has also added a few very neat pencil annotations on a few relevant pages . Seller Inventory # 50508
