Lovely edition contains all 12 of the original stories, brought to new life with the delightful full-color illustrations of Meg Rutherford, "who has succeeded in capturing the gently humorous magic of Kipling's writing." A FIRST EDITION, first printing from Silver Burdett, 1986, this hardcover 4to (8" x 11") has textured green cloth over boards with a blindstamped kangaroo design to front & bright gilt lettering to spine. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, binding straight & strong, hinges secure. Pages white with a whisper of tanning to edges, else unmarked. Very mild rubbing to lower extremities. The unclipped DJ is largely intact, colorful, & bright, but downgraded to Good due to many small holes (insect damage) & rubbed areas; looks nice protected in new clear mylar cover Free! Our photos show the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
