Item description from seller

First Printing. Publisher's original stiff red cardboard covers. Generally rubbed. Square, hinges cracked but still firmly attached, names written on the ffep. Ghost tape on inside hinge at title page and behind first fold out map, which do not interfere with the type or map. Water mark on bottom of first three pages, otherwise none. An interesting look into early 20th-century New York City criminology, complete with twelve maps on the distribution of arrests, juvenile delinquents, misdemeanants, felons, petty offenders, and female offenders in Brooklyn and Manhattan. According to the Foreword written by Langdon W. Post, the chairman of the New York Housing Authority, this was, at the time, the most thorough crime report of New York City that had ever been published. In archival cover.
