Item description from seller

First edition, a very good copy in paper covered boards with a leather label on the upper cover, 8vo, iv, 46pp, no marking or inscriptions. This is the best-known poem by Matthew Green (1696-1737), one which was greatly admired by Pope and Gray among others. As noted by Foxon, a number of copies lack the final blank. An Edinburgh piracy was published in the same year, but has a different collation. The preface is attributed to Richard Glover. Foxon G283.
