Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. New York: Charterhouse, 1973 First edition. Inscribed by the author in lower case script on the first free endpaper: "with all good wishes - donald barr." Without dust jacket. Very slight wear to the cloth and a little closed tear at the foot of the spine, but otherwise an all but fine, unread copy. An unsettling and depraved work of space opera science fiction, completed in the final year of Barr's controversial tenure as headmaster of the Dalton School. Increasingly scarce, the subject of intrigue in recent years. Very rare inscribed - this is one of only two signed examples we've seen surface to date. Inscribed by Author(s).
