Japanese ikebana flower arrangement book, co-authored by Sofu Teshigahara and photographer Ken Domon in 1966 Japanese flower art ikebana has evolved from the Buddhist temple arrangements of the 6th century. The Sogetsu School was founded in 1927, when Sofu Teshigahara set out to develop the traditional expression of ikebana as an idea of ikebana that could be made anywhere, anytime, and from any material. This book is the result of a three-year collaboration between Sofu Teshigahara (1900-1979) and photographer Ken Domon (1909-1990) and was published in 1966. The book is printed in Japan.
