Hardcover binding appears firm and square. Pages show moderate, even age-toning, particularly at the margins, but remain clean in the portions examined. A large decorative ownership label reading “Personal Library of Norton J. Lehman” is mounted on the front free endpaper. No additional writing or annotation was observed in the photographed pages. Original photographic dust jacket shows light to moderate rubbing and handling wear, with creasing, small chips, and short tears along the upper edge and spine ends. The upper spine area is somewhat frayed, but the jacket remains substantially complete, bright, and presentable. Jacket is not shown price-clipped or unclipped, so that point is not stated. Please see photographs for the exact condition. The Norton J. Lehman ownership label provides identifiable private-library provenance, although I found no evidence connecting the name to a nationally recognized collector or public figure. It is worth mentioning in the condition description but does not appear to add meaningful monetary value. Clive James was an Australian-born critic, poet, novelist, memoirist, and broadcaster celebrated for combining formidable learning with quick, often mischievous humor. Snakecharmers in Texas is an accessible example of his breadth as a cultural critic and will appeal to collectors of modern British literature, literary essays, journalism, and cultural criticism. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking. Domestic shipping by USPS Media Mail unless otherwise requested. International shipping is available at cost. Returns accepted in accordance with AbeBooks’ return policy. SCI 1e.…
