About this Item
odd volume, apparently contemporary half-calf and marbled paper boards, edges also marbled, generally fine copy. Smith was founder of the Linnaean Society in London in 1788. He had been fortunate enough to acquire the library and specimen collection of Linnaeus some years earlier. The tour principally deals with visits to botanists and herbaria, and encounters with plants en route. Lovely copy, if it could be reunited with its companion volumes. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 25226
