xi- 227pp folding map, some occasional foxing to the contents. ownership signature of “J.H Gurney June 1868” to upper blank of the title page. Book plate of "Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists Society with ink note "Presented by John. Henry. Gurney Nov 1882" to the front paste down. The contents clean and tight bound in original publishers brown blind stamped cloth, with gilt crest to the upper cover, some light rubbing to the head of the spine, the binding clean and tight with no chips or splits. A very good copy, Gurney an author and amateur ornithologist wrote numerous articles for the Zoologist and Ibis magazine.
