The book was published in a limited edition of 500 issued without a dustjacket. Fishers Island is a Seth Raynor designed golf course consistently ranked in the top 100 in the world located in Long Island sound between Long Island and Connecticut. Very limited membership and affluent island, make this a difficult course to play. Interesting history of this cloistered club. Frederick Law Olmsted's original plans for the east end of Fishers Island included space for two 18 hole courses, but only one was built, the present course, by Seth Raynor. A well done club history chocked full of black and white and color pictures and carefully researched history. This is Fishers Island first club history and is a smaller limitation, only 500 books, than their second history published in 2001 in which 2,000 copies were printed. D & J F5980.
