Very scarce limited first edition of the address given by Lady Sharp following the death of prominent civil servant and art collector, Sir Alan Barlow. First edition. Very scarce. Limited to 100 copies.In publisher's original soft covers.The address given by Lady Sharp following the death of Sir Alan Barlow in February of that year. Barlow was a prominent British civil servant, Principal Private Secretary to prime minister Ramsay MacDonald between the years of 1933 and 1934, before becoming Under-secretary at HM Treasury. Barlow was an avid collector of Islamic and Chinese art, his collection later being donated to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. In publisher's original soft covers. Externally, very smart with only slight shelf wear and minor marking and discolouration. Internally, firmly bound. Very bright and clean with only the occasional spot. Very Good Indeed.
