Hardcover, Orange cloth boards with gilt over black title to spine, Stated First Printing, 1940. Book Condition: Good, boards lightly rubbed, corners gently bumped, some wear and soil to edges, dust to top, some staining and minor damage to text block and bottom (see photo), some mild foxing to end papers and what appears to be sticker residue (1/2" x 3/4") to front end papers, pages are free of marks and only show the slightest hints of tanning, spine straight, binding intact. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair, spine cover severely damaged, old tape repairs to inside of dust jacket, numerous rips and tears (see photo). -- Singing Valleys is American History in terms of the role played by corn.
