Inspirational self-help memoir and success guide by Wally 'Famous' Amos, founder of the Famous Amos cookie company. Drawing upon his personal journey from modest beginnings through entrepreneurial success, Amos presents ten principles for achieving personal, financial, and spiritual fulfillment, including love, positive attitude, self-esteem, commitment, integrity, giving, imagination, enthusiasm, words, and faith. The work combines autobiographical reflections with motivational advice and represents a notable example of late-1980s inspirational publishing. Particularly desirable is the author inscription and signature on the title page, dated 3-30-92, reading: 'Aloha Freda & John, The Power is Love. Wally Amos.' Book Condition: Near Fine. Clean blue cloth boards with bright gilt spine lettering. Binding square and tight. Interior pages clean and unmarked aside from the author's inscription and a prior owner's business label affixed to the title page (Express Lane Prof. Auto Clinic, Stone Mountain, GA.). Minor scattered age spotting visible on a few preliminary leaves and page edges; no writing, highlighting, or remainder marks observed. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Original unclipped jacket priced $16.95. Moderate age toning to white portions of jacket, light rubbing at extremities, and small creases/wear at corners and spine ends; no major tears or losses. Edition/Printing: First Edition, First Printing. Copyright page shows the complete first-printing number line ending in 2 (10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2,) consistent with Donald I. Fine first-printing practice. Published 1988. Signed copies of Amos' books appear less frequently than his later mass-market motivational works, enhancing collector interest.
