Item description from seller

30pp. 180x120mm original printed wrappers. Darrell Figgis was arrested and imprisoned in mid May 1918, as part of a sweep of the Sinn Fein leadership, following the discovery of a plot linking that organization with the German war effort. This publication examines the evidence behind the supposed "German Plot" and links it's origins and the continued detention of prisoners, to the Irish Convention, Conscription, American involvement in the War, and the approaching General Election. Some spotting to covers otherwise a very good copy of a rare pamphlet, not noted by Carty in his 'Bibliography of Irish History 1912-1921' published by the National Library of Ireland in 1936.
