Small Octavo. 216pp. Includes 16 black and white photographs. This book is in good condition. The black boards are good, with some bumping to the front and rear board top corners. The bottom edge of the spine is somewhat curled. The gilt titling to the spine is bright. The closed text block shows some light foxing to the top and bottom edges, as do the front and rear free end papers. The pages are slightly yellowed with age, but are otherwise clean, and the binding remains tight. The dust jacket is in poor condition, with 2 closed tears (one small one to the front, one large one to the rear) and bumping and chipping to the edges. A previous owner has added sellotape to one of the tears. The dust jacket is unclipped.

Store description
Wordhoard. One of the oldest written words in the English language (actually Wordhord in Old English). Storytellers would ‘open their wordhord’ whilst sitting amongst friends and family and tell stories of great deeds such as the story of Beowulf. It’s a word that speaks of the importance of storytelling throughout our history. So perhaps a fitting name for a bookshop? Based in Bristol, UK, Wordhoard Books specialise in selling collectible signed and unsigned first edition books for both adults and children. Collections include signed books, novels, natural history, military history, general history, art, graphic art, film, biography, poetry, and many more, so please do come and browse. If you have any questions regarding any of my books, feel free to get in touch.…
