An insightful and well-regarded critical study of the Sherlock Holmes canon, this work by noted Holmes scholar D. Martin Dakin offers thoughtful analysis and commentary cherished by collectors and enthusiasts of classic detective literature. Condition: Very Good The dust jacket is in very good condition and presents beautifully. It shows only slight, natural signs of aging with minimal edge wear and no discernible rips or tears, remaining fully intact and protective. The book itself is in excellent shape. The bold blue cover is clean and attractive, free from stains, spots, or noticeable wear. The silver embossing on the spine remains bright and sharply defined, adding to the volumes shelf appeal. The binding is firm and secure. The interior is well preserved. A previous owners name appears on the front endpaper. Light foxing is visible along the page edges, typical for a book of this era. There are a few scattered notations and one or two highlights made by the prior owner. However, aside from these limited markings, the remaining pages are clean and free from additional writing, tears, or damage. A handsome and collectible vintage Holmes reference work and ideal for Sherlockian scholars, mystery enthusiasts, and collectors of classic literary criticism. (BR) Shelf 308. …
