First printing. Softcover volume, measuring approximately 5" x 8.25", shows light shelfwear. Binding is sound. Pages are clean and bright. Two pages are dog eared. 120 pages. "Exploring the mythic depth of "Waiting for Godot," States offers not merely another reading of this much-discussed work, but an analysis of its seemingly inexhaustible capacity for interpretation. The author approaches the play as an exercise in paradox at all levels, from teh single speech to the overall design. As an explanation of how language orders a play's sub-critical appeal, "The Shape of Paradox" is addressed not to Beckett specialists but to all students of drama and myth.".
