[Shakespeare] Program Booklet for The Ham Show: A Hamlet Adaptation by the Press Club of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake City, Utah, May 16-17, 1904, 6 x 9.25 inches, unpaginated, approximately 65 pp. Staple-bound booklet with color pictorial wrappers; very light wear to edges, else fine; interior pages contain numerous black and white illustrations and photographs; pages unmarked; a few pages have some minor creasing; overall very good condition. A scarce program booklet for an adaptation of Hamlet put on by the Press Club of Salt Lake City at the Salt Lake Theatre from May 16-17, 1904. The Press Club of Salt Lake City was a social club founded by the city's newspaper reporters in 1902. The club hosted public events such as plays, banquets, and lectures. The booklet gives a brief history of the club and a summary of "The Ham Show", the club's adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet. It also contains photographs and short bios of the actors, as well as advertisements and a few cartoons. Not found in OCLC or commerce as of February 2024. Seller Inventory # 1286
