Add to basketFirst edition; folio (38 x 28 cm); 4 hand-coloured aquatint plates, a touch of fraying to margins only; original paper printed wrappers, preserved in a modern cloth box, wrappers a little frayed soiled and frayed, a few tears to spine neatly repaired, otherwise a very good copy. A set of four caricatures depicting stereotypes of a poet, miser, virtuoso, and hypochondriac respectively. Despite the imprint on the plates dating them 1819, published by Edward Orme, Abbey finds no other work to which they relate. Abbey (Life), 257; Bobins 832; Prideaux p326.
