About the Author

Dan McIntosh is the real deal. A man who has lived his whole life in the bush and has a boundless love for the land which he expresses through his photography. He s the station cook at Coolibah Station in the NT (between Kununurra and Katherine). It s the kind of place you need to drive 20kms down the road to the hill where you can pick up internet access. Before that, he was the cook at Carpentaria Downs in Queensland. He s been to Sydney once - in 1961, when he was two. He enters lots of photo competitions - and recently was awarded a prize in the Australian Outback Photo Awards in Brisbane.
