Item description from seller

Dark green cloth, gilt titles to spine. 171 pages. Splendid motor car related social history from New York in 1922. A RARE book and a fascinating read. The author had previously (from 1912/13) spent nine years with the Ford Motor Company service department. In 1922 "nearly one half of all the automobiles in the world are Fords and in the United States and Canada a little better than half." There are photos throughout the book together with more than 90 figures and there are chapters on service station layouts and equipment, etc., etc. Concentrates on the profits of service. Cloth is a trifle edgeworn, yet the condition of this book belies its 90 years.
