Add to basketFIRST EDITION, 1818. Daniel Wilson (1778-1858) was an English Bishop of Calcutta, who was persuaded by John Eyer and John Newton to become a minister. A strong preacher, Wilson associated with the Clapham Sect of evangelical Anglicans and founded the Islington Clerical Conference, among other pastorate positions. (Wikipedia). Hardcover. Bound in half brown leather and marbled papers boards. Spine bears a black leather label stamped in gilt lettering with gilt hub lines. Collated and complete.CONDITION: Cover shows moderate wear with some mild wear-through rubbing. Ex-library mark on the spine and a withdrawn stamp on the title page. Title page also has a piece cut out at the head measuring 1.25" x 4.25", yet the text has not been compromised. Inner hinges are cracked, yet boards are still well attached and binding is sound. Unmarked. Occasional foxing throughout, yet text is fully legible. A very nice copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
