First edition. House Document No. 841 (63d Congress, 2d Session, 1913-1914). Octavo. 156pp., folding chart, and 14 large folding maps and charts at the rear (numbered 1-4 and 1-10, including some in color). Complete as issued in the original publisher's cloth. Moderate soiling to the boards, very good. A detailed report on the necessity, urgency, and practicability of permanently separating the waters of the Red and Atchafalaya rivers from those of the Mississippi River. Prepared under the direction of the Secretary of War by the US Army Corps of Engineers. A nice copy, scarce in the trade, with the folding maps and charts in fine condition.
