Sensor Network Methodologies for Smart Applications (Advances in Information Security, Privacy, and Ethics)

Technologies in today's society are rapidly developing at a pace that is challenging to stay up to date with. As an increasing number of global regions are implementing smart methods and strategies for sustainable development, they are continually searching for modern advancements within computer science, sensor networks, software engineering, and smart technologies. A compilation of research is needed that displays current applications of computing methodologies in the progression of global cities and how smart technologies are being utilized. Salah-ddine Krit received the Hability Physics-Infromatics from the Faculty of Sciences, University Ibn Zohr Agadir morocco in 2015, the B.S. and Ph.D degrees in Software Engineering from Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah university, Fez, Morroco in 2004 and 2009, respectively. During 2002-2008, he worked as an engineer Team leader in audio and power management Integrated Circuits (ICs) Research, Design, simulation and layout of analog and digital blocks dedicated for mobile phone and satellite communication systems using Cadence, Eldo, Orcad, VHDL-AMS technology. He is currently a professor of Informatics with Polydisciplinary Faculty of Ouarzazate, Ibn Zohr university, Agadir, Morroco. His research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks (Software and Hardware), computer engineering and wireless communications, Genetic Algorithms, Gender and ICT.

Valentina E. Balas is currently Full Professor in the Department of Automatics and Applied Software at the Faculty of Engineering, University “Aurel Vlaicu” Arad (Romania). She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Electronics and Telecommunications from Polytechnic University of Timisoara. She is author of more than 300 research papers in refereed journals and International Conferences. Her research interests are in Intelligent Systems, Fuzzy Control, Soft Computing, Smart Sensors, Information Fusion, Modeling and Simulation.She is the Editor-in Chief to International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms (IJAIP) and IJCSysE, member in Editorial Board member of several national and international journals and is evaluator expert for national and international projects. She participated in many international conferences as General Chair, Organizer, Session Chair and member in International Program Committee. She is a member of EUSFLAT, ACM and a Senior Member IEEE, member in TC – Fuzzy Systems (IEEE CIS), member in TC - Emergent Technologies (IEEE CIS), member in TC – Soft Computing (IEEE SMCS).

Mohamed Elhoseny is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computers and Information, Mansoura University. Dr. Elhoseny has been appointed as an ACM Distinguished Speaker from 2019 to 2022. Collectively, Dr. Elhoseny authored/co-authored over 95 ISI Journal articles in high-ranked and prestigious journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (IEEE), IEEE Transactions on Reliability (IEEE), Future Generation Computer Systems (Elsevier), and Neural Computing and Applications (Springer). Besides, Dr. Elhoseny authored/edited several international books. His research interests include Smart Cities, Network Security, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Intelligent Systems. Dr. Elhoseny serves as the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Smart Sensor Technologies and Applications (IGI Global). Moreover, he is an Associate Editor of many journals such as IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics (IEEE), IEEE Access (IEEE), Scientific Reports (Nature), IEEE Future Directions (IEEE), Remote Sensing (MDPI), and International Journal of E-services and Mobile Applications(IGI Global), Applied Intelligence (Springer). Moreover, he served as the co-chair, the publication chair, the program chair, and a track chair for several international conferences published by IEEE and Springer. Dr. Elhoseny is the Editor-in-Chief of the Studies in Distributed Intelligence Springer Book Series, the Editor-in-Chief of The Sensors Communication for Urban Intelligence CRC Press-Taylor& Francis Book Series, and the Editor-in-Chief of The Distributed Sensing and Intelligent Systems CRC Press-Taylor& Francis Book Series. He was granted several awards by diverse funding bodies such as the Young Researcher Award in Artificial Intelligence from the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils in 2019, Obada International Prize for young distinguished scientists 2020, the Egypt National Prize for Young Researchers in 2018, the best Ph.D. thesis in Mansoura University in 2015, the SRGE best young researcher award in 2017, and the membership of The Egyptian Young Academy of Science (EYAS) in 2019. Besides, he is a TPC Member or Reviewer in 50+ International Conferences and Workshops. Furthermore, he has been reviewing papers for 80+ International Journals including IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Sensors Letters, IEEE Communication Letters, Elsevier Computer Communications, Computer Networks, Sustainable Cities and Society, Wireless Personal Communications, and Expert Systems with Applications. Dr. Elhoseny has been invited as a guest in many media programs to comment on technologies and related issues.
