Cloth, gilt cover-title in frame, top edge gilt, others uncut, 4to, 26 cm, 102 pp. Printed in Perpetua type and Gill Floriated Initials on Hodgkinson handmade paper. Includes a preface by Evelyn Waugh and the following selection of sermons by Knox: Success; Homage; Greatness; Truth; Light; Zeal; A.M.D.G; Individuality; Life; Permanence; Heroism. From Waugh's preface: "Mgr. Knox s message . survives entire in black and white, as compelling in print as in his quiet, scholar s voice. His ideas, complex and seemingly incongruous, come together, fuse, and become simple, permanent and luminous. That, rather than his abounding verbal felicity, is what makes his art notable."
