Quarto. 11'' x 9''. Contains [viii] [x] [4] 168 printed pages of text with 42 single-sided monochrome engravings throughout. List of Subscribers. From the library and private estate of Sir John Gladstone [1764-1851] Father of William Gladstone [1809-1898], British Liberal Statesman and Prime Minister, with the Fasque House [a derivative of a Gaelic word simply meaning shelter] book plate to the front paste down. Just a little sporadic foxing to the first 30 pages, one small tear to the top inner gutter of page 23, very minor rubs to the extremities, without any ownership markings, binding firm, square and sound, and in Very Good clean and presentable condition.
