About this Item
First Edition (Herder And Herder=NAP). Once listed, this will be the Only dust jacketed copy of this book for sale on the Internet. 'When in 1958 the Roman Catholic bishops of the United States affirmed collectively that racial segregation was the "nation's number-one moral problem," it was assumed that they would immediately back up their utterance by a tremendous constructive effort for integration. The story of the slow and unsteady implementation of the bishops' declaration, and of what led up to it, is the subject of William Osborne's The Segregated Covenant.' The book is in really nice shape. The covers are very clean. Wear is limited to a little crinkling at the spine ends and a tiny dent at the rear bottom edge. Black lettering bright. Edges and corners excellent. Page edge. The page edges are perfectly clean. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages and nicely tight covers. The pages are very clean and bright. I don't see any soiling or creasing. There are no markings. No attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. The dust jacket is clean. There's a little scuffing at the spine ends and a small loss off the rear bottom edge (3rd photo). The flaps are in excellent condition, clean, no wear. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. Seller Inventory # 003739
