Brown boards and spine with blind stamped decoration; cocked spine, lettered in gilt, has 1 cm splits on its two top edges and is frayed around its extremities, top and bottom; the four front corners bumped. Internally lightly soiled yellow endpapers have contemporaneous signature at front and a couple of short notes at rear. Heavy foxing to preliminary pages largely absent after page 25; no loose pages but binding string broken; gaps in gutters and fore edge not flush. Aprox a dozen pages at rear wth notes and underlining. Pp xiv, 421 + 1, 16 (ads). Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 005133
