P1207. LP record (33 1/3 rpm). Silkscreen sleeve by Helen Cassidy. Released to coincide with Montgomery's first publication in book form, 'Circe' (published by his own Fulcrum Press), 'his free working of a passage from Homer'. The foldout insert (which has quotations by Basil Bunting, Robert Duncan, Gary Snyder, Christopher Logue, and Tom Pickard) states: 'Started seven years ago and only "completed" on the day of the final recording, some of the most important changes in the poem were made as a result of the recording sessions.' Montgomery reads from that work alongside short poems and translations of Odysseus Elytis. Although not stated, one of 50 copies. Disc Very Good Plus in Good sleeve, with laminate creases and some degradation to the silver (as usual) and light soiling, the folding a little awry but secure. Insert Fine.
