Large, stout book. Some of the photographic plates are in color. Blue cloth hardcover, dust jacket present. water marks, strong spotting on page edges, chip to top of spine, moderate page warp here and there. Previous owner's bookplate on endpaper. This is a used book that has seen its share of boats, docks, and salt water, and is being offered as a working tool for professionals at about half the price of "collector" copies. The publication has the bearing of a royal production, that has seen better days. Still an important reference and arguably the leading book on the topic. No underlines or notes in the text.
