Maroon covers are rubbed in several places, head and foot of spine are missing minor sections, gilt lettering to spine is only faintly legible due to darkening, front hinge becoming loose and remains of a library sticker pasted to inside of front cover. A few underlinings in pencil and one or two annotations in the margins. The book comprises the Rhind Lectures in Archaeology by the author of "Studies in the Topography of Galloway".
