This leads, as such things will, to "fast-moving conversation, well-spiced with fun, [which] probes such diversities as the stock market, drinking and smoking, the gold standard, art forgeries, unemployment, desegregation, and nudity," all rendered in "allustive, illusive, alliterative prose [which] is polished to glow like poesy," whatever the hell that means. (And with crashing chords of ecstasy, don't forget.) Not a book you'll run across every day of the week, not that you'd necessarily want to.
