About this Item
Vintage romance. A UK first edition, first impression. Undated but from the late 1940's. THE WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is clean, bright and unfaded, showing gentle surface creasing at the bottom edge and light rubbing at each of the corners. A band with the author's name has been affixed to the front panel by the publisher - probably to conceal the racier parts of an already racy cover illustration. The spine is sound. It is unfaded. It is rubbed and scuffed at the ends. The white back panel is bright, showing inconsequential bruising to the top edge. Looks sharp. THE BOOK : The book is square, bright and very tight. The boards are clean and bright. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean - there is ghosting to the ffep. The closed page edges are sound - there are one or two spots of foxing on the leading edge. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A nice copy in a protected wrapper. Paypal accepted. Seller Inventory # 003445
