The August 19 & September 16, 1939 issues of the Saturday Evening Post. Fiction includes most notably parts 1 & 5 of 7 of Double for Death, a Tecumseh Fox mystery by Rex Stout. Other fiction includes A Salmon for the White House, a short story by Arthur Train (8/19) and Don't Sell it, Mr Rumbin, a short story by Booth Tarkington (9/16). There is also an an article about baseball HoF player/manager Leo Durocher (8/19 - Baseball's Ugly Duckling - the Durable Durocher) by Arthur Mann. Contains a Westinghouse ad featuring the 1939 NY World's Fair. Cover art by Frances Tipton Hunter (8/19 - Penny Candy & 9/16 - Growing Boy). Light wear at the edges & some mild soiling to the cover. Back covers are missing (8/19) and present but loose (9/16). A good to very good set with nice Rex Stout serial installments.
