1906 1st edition hardcover in glossy illustrated paper covered boards with bumped and rubbed tips and spine ends, grey cloth covered spine rubbed round at ends with color loss but no splits. Rear cover is glossy plain cream colored paper. 'Jack Bartlett Xmas 1906' written on upper tip of charmingly illustrated fep with fox hunting scene of Sammy in green ink on cream ground. 24pp sewn in text is tight and browned at edges but not brittle. Occasional soil in page margin, no tears or major issues. Book comes in a professional reproduction of the original jacket showing a cursive written title, author and publisher info. Sammy the clothespin doll spends his day preparing for, riding in, and putting away his mount after the fox hunt. Darling art, one full color full page plate opposite one page of simple cursive-written text. Uncommon and a darling gift for the hunter who has 'everything'. Seller Inventory # 48469
