Safety in Numbers focuses on the groups that animals form whether large or small, temporary or permanent. It highlights many of the advantages of living in groups. Children will learn how animals protect each other and cooperate with one another and how this increases their chance of survival. The book also describes in simple terms the structure of whole animal communities and shows how the work is divided for the benefit of the group. This book will give children an insight into animal life and behaviour and stimulate their interest to learn more. Suitable for children of 5-10 years. Easy-to-read text is linked with detailed illustrations and vivid photographs. Illustrated throughout. Illustrated laminated boards.
