Delightful story for young children about a little French boy called Louis who delivers bread for his Father the Baker. Beautifully illustrated with 32 Sepia Plates of Drawings by E. Froment. A little text beneath each picture. 32 Pages, 350g, 9 1/4" Tall. Brown cloth spine with Yellow paper-covered Boards. Illustrated with Louis holding up the Round Loaf on the front with Black Lettering above & below. Gift inscription on ffep dated 1870. Some edge wear, rubbing & chipping to boards (see photo). Hinges cracked and reinforced with white hinge tape, also reinforced between a few pages. Pages & illustrations in very good, clean condition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" Tall.
