halftitle+ first t.p.+f/piece (author portrait photo)+second t.p.+xii (this inc. all prev.leaves)+113, 4 further photo-plates; outer sides of endpapers heavily tanned, , occ. light spots elsewhere and flecking to fore-edge and top, crease to top corner p.97 has left offset diagonal lines also to pp.96 & 99, otherwise clean, tight and unmarked internally in excellent clean, minimally worn covers, a trivial lscatter of small ight spots to back, faint hint of spine darkening and routine slight rubbing of extremities are only faults. This book is in fact, as 2nd t.p. makes clear, intended to promote the author's institution "Tarrangower" (in Willesden, London) which offered residential and non-residential treatment for stammering and other speech defects using the Beasley System, his wife (" nee Beasley") was presumably Beasley's daughter and 'The Misses Winnie and Gladys Ketley' assisted him - clearly a family concern then. Undated but pretty clearly pre-1914 I think (to judge by his appearance in photo as well as production style).
