About this Item
This is a UK first edition hardcover published by Rupert Hart-Davis in 1968. The jacket has fading to the front cover and spine otherwise would be Very Fine. It is unclipped (21s net) and intact with no damage. The book is in Near Fine condition. The spine is straight, corners sharp and spine ends firm. The page edges are toned due to age and the front end papers look like they have had a label of sorts removed - presumably a previous owner ex-libris label. The copyright page confirms the first UK publication in 1968. Seller Inventory # 010358

I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. I do NOT offer cheap shipping and add it to the book price so please do not complain to me that Bob down the road offers cheaper postage. Sure he does - but the price of his book is hiked to reclaim it, or you're referring to a power seller who can negotiate postage discounts. I can't - I'm a private individual selling my private collection. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. Tracking is NOT provided automatically on UK parcels - you have to choose priority mail AND pay an additional £7 postage on top.
