One of Boardman's snazzy digest-sized paperback issues of U.S. mysteries, this one a Los Angeles based tale which leads Neal Cotten, head of the new Cotten Bureau of Investigation on a grim hunt from a mansion in Pacific Crest to a shoddy flop-house in Skid Row, to a crooked gambling dive in Angel Gardens. Hardboiled collectible mystery cover art. Chip to the upper corner and creases to the lower corner of the front cover, rubbing and pressure creases at the spine folds, very small chip to the upper spine edge, minor crease lines and rubbing to the spine,and shelf-edges, mild finger-pull creases to the fore-edge and with upper corner creases to the rear cover, else good and firm in glossy wraps with fabulous hard boiled street scene front cover art depicting a Los Angeles City skyline, three fedora-wearing men, one shooting another in the back from a car window; printed code TVB 119 and 1'6 price still intact to the front cover. *(No fading to the spine.) 160 pages; ads to the inside covers.
