Book size about 6 by 8 inches. Bound in blue cloth with front cover gilt decoration and lettering. A Bridal Shower book from 1926 which the bride-to-be filled in with the items important to her. This from Miss Myrl Bryan of the Pasadena, California area. Contains the wedding announcement; a hand written description of how she met the bridegroom; cards which accompanied shower gifts; dance cards; hand written list of her 'hope chest'; cut outs from pretty napkins; newspaper announcements; pressed flowers; and much else. The bride-to-be was obviously from a very well-off family as noted by the gift from her parents of $800.00. This is, of course, a unique book. Light wear; signs of ageing to be expected.
