Hunting trips to Daghestan, the deserts of north-east Africa, Crete, Somaliland, the Sinai, and the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Europe. As with his other books, Buxton did a fine job describing his adventures. Buxton traveled to Egypt's Sinai Peninsula after ibex; there is also a hunt for tur and stag in Dagestan. He was unlucky in his pursuit of ibex in the Kittar Mountains near the Red Sea. He also traveled to the Haud region of Somaliland, bagging oryx, both greater and lesser kudu, hartebeest, gazelle and other antelope species. (Czech/sheep) Very good copy.
