Full Dark Navy Blue Calf leather with silver blocked titles to spine and name of person to whom presented to bottom corner of front board, 225 x 145 mm approx. Pale blue end papers, applied red and gold head and tail bands, vi + 102 pp + 6 b/w illustrations on glossy plates all as called for. First published in 1959 the copy offered is of the reprint of 1971 and has an inscription in ink wishing the recipient well on his new appointment to the front free end paper with the signature of 10 members of staff. Loosely laid in on Crown Agents Headed paper is a typed list of persons attending a lunch on the occasion. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition.
